Compiz Desktop Effect and SCIM

I tried to activate the virtual desktop but nothing happened. The “Ctrl+Alt+arrow” did not work. I finally figured out why. It was SCIM, which default hot key included “Ctrl+Alt+some arrows”. So, to activate virtual desktop:

  1. Click “System->Preferences->SCIM Input Method Setup”.
  2. Replace hot  keys “Ctrl+Alt+arrow” with something else under “Next Input Method”, “Previous Input Method” and “Show Input Method Menu”.
  3. Click “OK”.
  4. Log out and Log in.

Now, pressing “Ctrl+Alt+arrow” should switch to another desktop.
